Across our communities, many families are struggling to keep a roof over their heads.
Rising rents and long-standing inequities have put stable housing out of
reach—especially for women-led Black, Latinx, Native American, and Pacific Islander
households. The impact is clear: overcrowding, displacement, and homelessness that
disrupt lives and weaken communities.
Our Housing Matters team provides compassionate, hands-on support to help residents
stay housed and assist unhoused neighbors in finding permanent homes. By connecting
people with affordable housing and critical resources, we’re building pathways to
stability and hope—and creating a stronger, more equitable San Francisco for all.
